Hi, I’m Andrea Gallagher, the founder of The Better Business Babe!
From picking up a camera to starting a photography business which eventually lead me to create a multi-faceted brand support business like The Better Business Babe, I understand the struggles and nuances of the entrepreneurial path well.
Full-Time Mom to Full-Fledged Business Owner
After a decade of devotion as a full-time mom, I felt called to launch into the next chapter of my life and start my own business. It was in 2010 that I bit the bullet and dove into my lifelong passion for photography. I began to build a portfolio of work that would become the foundation for a budding photography business.
Growing my business was time consuming, tricky, full of ups and downs. Yet - felt flat out amazing as my hard work began to pay off & my business began to flourish. During this process of managing a growing business, I became nervous about juggling my priorities, so I set this goal:
I needed to hone a balance between my commitment to my children and husband & my newly minted business that was quickly becoming more than just a creative outlet.
From there, my photography work turned into a full-on business. Though exciting and wonderful, the road from hobby to thriving business was complicated; it was lonely path sprinkled with difficulties and struggles, which felt both challenging and isolating, especially from a home office. I was consistently taking on additional roles, trying to be the accountant, bookkeeper, administrator, customer service provider, the list goes on and on - and photographer.
I realized I couldn't do it all.
How the Better Business Babe Went from Idea to Reality
The farther I took my business, the more I reflected on my initial goal of achieving balance. Business owner. Mom. Believer. Daughter. Friend. These roles couldn’t be compartmentalized; they fuse together to create the person I am in every capacity. This is not unique to me, and many of the inspiring entrepreneurs I have come to know and love work hard to maintain a thriving work / life balance.
As you may be able to virtually hear, I have a deep love of people - plain and simple - and am passionate about seeing other business owners succeed. As I met more and more small business owners looking for advice and support I realized I was onto something amazing.
This, my friends, is how the Better Business Babe was born.
I began to dream of creating a space where small business owners could get the help and support they needed from vetted experts & grow their brand and business in half the time! I am happy to say that I have assembled the best team to help you master the demands of owning a business so that you can simply focus on your product, service, or message without all the guesswork. We have just one life - and it is my goal and joy to help others make the most of it.
